Disrupting, Bridging, and Eliminating Social Isolation

On December 10, 2020, The National Council on Aging, Latinos for a Secure Retirement, and The Juanita C. Grant Foundation will host a community cafecito (coffee chat) on Disrupting, Bridging, and Eliminating Social Isolation: Engaging Older Adults within Communities of Color.

This digital conversation with the Juanita C. Grant Foundation will highlight the negative impact of social isolation on communities of color and marginalized communities. This social determinant of health has been exacerbated by COVID-19, especially for older adults. This event will present best practices to engage older adults to disrupt social isolation and bridge gaps in socialization.

This partnership coalesced by NCOA brings resources to help families apply for money-saving benefits through the NCOA BenefitsCheckupTool© to live with dignity, purpose, and security.
